The International Linear Collider (ILC) is a future electron-positron collider based on superconducting radio frequency (SRF) technology. Central to this are high-gradient 1.3 GHz 9-cell TESLA-type SRF cavities, which are utilized for beam acceleration. These are operated at cryogenic temperatures and thus are housed within cryomodules. This seminar will provide an overview of the ongoing R&D efforts for these SRF cavities at KEK and other international laboratories. Additionally, the seminar will highlight the progress in constructing an ILC prototype cryomodule at KEK, which is scheduled for testing in early 2028.

Speaker: Dr Mathieu Omet (High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK))
