1.Status of formation of the LCTPC/LP collaboration (foils#3-6)
---------------------------------
The 12July2006 email from Dean, Takeshi and RS outlining some ideas for
forming the LCTPC/LP collaboration was discussed. Details are in that
mail, are summarized again in these agendafoils, and thus will not be
repeated here. Some alternatives for setting up steering group were
mentioned. Going further in hammering out exact procedures should involve
the whole CB and TB. For this the final names for the CB must be
identified as requested in the 12July2006 email. The groups which have
responded are shown in foil#6. There a still a few names missing; as
soon as these are received, RS will send around the CB list to everybody,
and the next round of discussions can start.
2.Purpose of the LP (Akira) (foil#7)
---------------------------------
A first iteration on this question was presented by Takeshi at the meeting
two weeks ago (6July2006). Akira thought there should be two aspects,
1) to test ideas to find out which configuration will work and second to
build a prototype sector for the final LCTPC. The first aspect would
include small prototype work on MPGD configurations, gases etc and
developing methods for calibration and momentum measurement in the LP.
The second would address sector size, installation and endcap structure in
the LP, as well as sector alignment. Dan pointed out that alignment
techniques it is important to understand the alignment early in the game.
3a.More on the LP electronics (Leif)(foil#8)
3b.Proposal for the electronics (Madhu)(foils#9-11)
---------------------------------
Leif has sent a file showing the connectors being considered
(see foil#8).
Madhu made another iteration on the discussion at the last meeting
(6July2006). His proposal for the LCTPC frontend is:
-preamp 25ns Trise (10%-90%)
-no shaper-integrator
-25MHz 10to12-bit FADC
The rest of WP#2 should comment on this suggestion.
4.More ideas on the endplates (Dan)(foils#12-20)
---------------------------------

click on the file for this meeting under 'latest talks'.
Dan explained the lastest iteration on a 10-panel endplate. The details
are in the slides and won'?t be repeated here. He will have time to look
into the next iteration,? a 5or6-panel endplat,in August.
5.Future meetings
---------------------------------
-It was decided that the bi-weekly frequency of these phonemeetings is
appropriate: the next phonemeeting will be around the 2nd of August.
-Paul/Akira are organizing the 'endcap meeting' in Paris 12-15 September;
details will be sent soon. At the end of it there will be a workpackage
phonemeeting where the happenings will be summarized for the WP conveners
and the LCTPC collaboration.
-The annual Eudet meeting will be in Munich 18-20 October.
-The European LC workshop is in Valencia 6-10 November.
