News ------- 1. Status of the LCTPC/LP collaboration The RC for American is Dean Karlen, for Asia is Takeshi Matsuda and for Europe is Ron Settles. The chairman of the RCs has been selected to be RS, and Takeshi has sent around an email explaining this choice. 2. WP Meeting --------------------------------- -2. LP tasks. The the discussion about the project list http://www.mppmu.mpg.de/~settles/tpc/lp/wpmtg/Project_List3_LP_TPC.doc lasted for the last three meetings (two at Valencia and this one), and the results are available at http://www.mppmu.mpg.de/~settles/tpc/lp/wpmtg/Project_List4_LP_TPC.doc One point, erroneously I (RS) said that some decisions about the laser (Item 6) had been made whereas everything about the laser is still under discussion. If you see any other mistakes, let me know. As you can see, a lot activity has started but also there are still a lot of things "Missing!", so we still have a way to go before the LP project-planning is complete and we will actually be able to carry out an R&D program. The purpose of the exercise is identify all of the tasks, see who is doing what, try to avoid duplication of effort, see what is missing and figure out what to do about the missing items. That will be our next step.
