From settles@mppmu.mpg.de Wed Sep 5 14:02:44 2007 Date: Wed, 5 Sep 2007 14:01:56 +0200 (CEST) From: Ronald Dean Settles To: lctpc@desy.de Subject: Agenda WP#38 phonemeeting today 05.09.2007 Dear friends, Here is the agenda for today's LP phonemeeting, which looks to be short. If you have anything to report, please do that at the meeting... Cheers, Ron WP#38 05/09/2007 -------------------------------------------- Wednesday 5 September 2007 West Coast East Coast W.Europe Japan 07.00 10.00 16.00 23.00 To join, dial +494089981390, after a few seconds into an answer in German, type the code number 52872# (LCTPC#). Issues for the agenda ----------------------- 0. News 1. Cosmic-trigger, news from Takeshi: --A phonemeeting with Yuri Kudenko for is set up for tomorrow, so we will have more information about our 15 counters then. --Meanwhile we should look at the work-sharing again to make sure everything is covered and to try to come to a final agreement. Ditto for the cost-sharing as soon as the costs are known. For work-sharing, here is what we discussed 4 weeks ago: "Cosmic-trigger-reponsible persons: Basic design: Klaus Scintillator slabs plus light fibres plus MPPC: Takeshi Electronics and power supply: Paul and/or CDC Assembly and Lab test: Sacly/Paul Support and installation at PCMAG: Klaus Schedule: ready beginning 2008." Takeshi adds that the photo couplers are from Kyoto (T2K). Also "assembly" includes the fabrication of the light shield. --The CDC group has ordered 40 100pixel MPPCs from Hamamatsu. --Anything else? 2. LP1 fieldcage/endplate/electronics news: --Up to the time of making this agenda there were no replies. The status as of last meeting is on Dan's site http://w4.lns.cornell.edu/~dpp/linear_collider/LargePrototype.html --Sasha brought up the time schedule for LP1. This was discussed at the collaboration meeting on 4 June. Go to the LCWS07 website http://ilcagenda.linearcollider.org/conferenceOtherViews.py?view=standard&confId=1296 Near the bottom at "LC-TPC collaboration meeting LC-TPC open meeting" click on Ties Behnke's "slides" in the talk "LP Schedules". There you see that the LP endplate is not complete (it is a skeleton) while fieldcage has a preliminary time schedule. We need volunteers to finish the endplate and fieldcage time schedules and keep them uptodate as things progress. --Anything else? 3. AOB --Next phonemeeting in two weeks: 19.09.2007
