The Asian Committee for Future Accelerators (ACFA) joint Linear Collider Physics and Detector Working Group and the International Linear Collider (ILC) Global Design Effort (GDE) would like to invite you to the joint ACFA physics and detector workshop and the GDE meeting on the International Linear Colider (TILC08 for short) to be held in Sendai, Japan from Monday March 3rd through Thursday March 6th, 2008.

The Sendai ACFA workshop is the tenth in the series of meetings on the physics and detector of the ILC organized by the ACFA joint Linear Collider Physics and Detector Working Group. The International Linear Collider Steering Committee has recently appointed a Research Director for the ILC experimental program, and issued a call for the ILC detector Letters of Intent. The workshop aims to advance preparation for the ILC experiments.

With the release of a revised road-map for the GDE ILC Technical Design Phase, the GDE meeting at Tohoku University (Sendai, Japan) now takes on a strategic importance for technical planning of the R&D priorities that have been set for 2010 and 2012. The goals of the workshop will be to focus on and refine the planning for both the short and long term programmes. Critical R&D will be the core focus of the workshop (SRF, electron cloud mitigation, BDS/MDI and the ATF2 programme). Discussions on the scope of possible top-down driven cost-performance studies will also be included.

The deadline of the registration is February 8, 2008.
