This schedule is based on the efforts on the infrastructure which we have to finalize here at DESY. -We are examining the field cage w.r.t. its specs and are about to check the alignment of the field strips. We will be then performing the electrical tests and eventually gas tests + HV tests. -The endplate from Dan arrived and we are setting up a tool that allows us to safely attach/insert the endplate onto/into the field cage. -For the magnet PCMAG we are awaiting the colleagues from the cryogenic group of KEK for a final handover and final operational test. In parallel we are awaiting Lucie and her team to perform an exchange of the presently installed Hall probes and new calibration of the new sensors. -We are awaiting the TPC-support structure in the mid of September. We then have to insert this structure safely into the magnet. -Jan Timmermans is preparing a set of beam trigger counters at NIKHEF. -We are planning to install the first parts of the PCMAG stage in the test beam area by the mid of October. These parts are the rails for the movement along the axis of the PCMAG and have to be installed in the test beam area. The other parts of the stage might be assembled outside the area. For the above mentioned steps I would expect to proceed with the following schedule: ----------------------------------------- weeks 37-39 field cage commissioning weeks 38-44 installation of TPC support structure and PCMAG commissioning weeks 40-44 LP system/field cage with end plate commissioning, including dummy modules weeks 45-47 first Micromegas tests (Paul et al) weeks 48-50 first Gem test (Akira et al) ----------------------------------------- If you would like to come to DESY within the weeks 37-44 and test any components, you are very welcome to do so. However, we will most likely not be able to provide the field cage/end plate system for these tests. Please give me your opinion if you don't agree with the above stated schedule, or any other feedback, statements, corrections ... will be highly appreciated. Best regards, Klaus
