Summary of this meeting, 7th January, 2009, Draft in 10 Jan.

  1. ATF/ATF2 schedule was published in the GDE report of "ILC Research and Development Plan for the Technical Design Phase", June 2008 , i.e. in Table 3.4: TD Phase Beam Test Facilities Deliverables and Schedule.
  2. Andrei proposed milestones for 2009-2010 at the 7th ATF2 project meeting, 15-18 December, 2008, which is called as Andrei's milestones.
  3. Many colleagues expressed that Andrei's milestones are very aggressive compared with the published ones, while they also understand necessity of some aggressiveness. In general, milestones should be realistic from experiences. However, it depends on the definition of milestones.
  4. Andrei explained that they are internal (non-published) as leading our efforts to achieve the published ones.
  5. At present, there are so much uncertainties in hardware commissioning (IP-BSM, carbon wire scanner and BPMs ) and beam stability. Therefore, it is difficult to assess the feasibility.
  6. For the moment, we will plan detailed schedule in this Japanese fiscal year, i.e. by end of March,2009. In this process, Andrei's milestones can be guidance as proposed. Reviewing our achievement during this period, we will update the milestones.
    T.Okugi and P.Bambade will make the draft plan and present it at this Friday meeting.
  7. 4:30 meeting during the ATF/ATF2 operation can be connected from outside in principle as we had at this December project meeting. We will use Webcam and Webex/phone. A direct phone line will be installed in the ATF control room. Security issue should be properly handled.
  8. We will reorganize the weekly meeting as follows;
  9. We will prepare to extend the ATF operation to Saturday, 5pm, i.e. additional three shifts, in next fiscal year, from April 2009.
  10. We discussed on training of new comer in the ATF operation. Major issues are how often and what kinds of training is necessary .
  11. ATF operation manual will be prepared in wiki for realtime update on ATF homepages by S. Kuroda.
  12. We understand importance of e-log system for collaborative studies/works with different sub-groups as well as the group members. N.Terunuma will prepare it on the ATF homepage.
