DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nAn ICFA workshop\n\n\nThis is a joint IPPP Durham/Cockcr
oft Institute/ICFA workshop on advanced QED methods for future accelerator
s. The workshop emphasis is on bunch-bunch interactions and aspects of pol
arised beams\, in the context of future high-energy e+e- colliders.\n\nWi
th the advent of high-luminosity electron-positron accelerators working at
the TeV energy scale and with the resulting extreme environments expecte
d during bunch-bunch collisions\, urgent further attention must be given t
o the impact of quantum effects on the design of such machines.\n\nIn part
icular\, formalisms for describing radiative processes and the methods of
calculation in the future strong-field environments must be reviewed and
the boundaries of validity of higher order perturbative calculations deter
mined.\n\nThus the central aim of the workshop is to make progress on the
development of exact theoretical methods for evaluating beam induced effe
cts (beamstrahlung\, bremsstrahlung\, etc.) and spin dynamics for the bea
m conditions at TeV colliders.\n\nMethods of calculation to be reviewed in
clude\, but are not limited to\, inclusion of the fields at Lagrangian lev
el\, the "Operator'' method for ultra-relativistic particles and QED calcu
lations using light-cone coordinates.\n\nReports on the status of the mode
ls implemented in existing simulation codes will be given\, and discussion
s about ways to improve these models and estimate the remaining theoretica
l uncertainties are planned.\n\nPapers arising from the workshop will be
published in the Journal of Physics Conference Series.\n\nhttps://agenda.l
