Gao (Oxford) Minutes: Marcel Rui reported on the TPAC DAQ. He followed Matt's instructions on compiling the code, but the place & route step fails. He wrote an email to Matt, but hasn't heard back. Paul pointed out that Matt is on vacation. He figured out, that the synthesis is the problem, as he can pllce & route Matt's firmware perfectly. He later posted, that it has to do with the way the clock buffers are associated. Matt and Paul will help Rui to overcome these setup problems. ACTION Paul: Get Matt to help Jaap investigated about the testbeam area and the layout with cables, xy-tables. Gary suggested to bring plenty of power strips, because of plug and socket issues. Paul reported that the USBDAQ flat ribbon cables by next week, he'll do 3 sets. Jaap pointed out, that the alignment of the TPAC stack with respect to the beamline can be simplified using a laser Water measure. Dave reported oh the status of the Fortis DAQ, which is not progressing as fast as he'd like. The command-line program now reads frames from the Fortis to disk. He has seen 55Fe with Fortis but at the moment, the program doesn't support triggers yet to send to the EUDET DAQ. Paul asked about LVDS signal to be sent to TPAC as well ACTION Dave: provide details to Paul Dave plans to use the TLU to distribute the clocks and hopes this will be done by next week.
