Description
Research on the Accelerator Test Facility 2 at KEK (Japan) is conducted at LAL (Orsay) and LAPP (Annecy) in the context of the FJPPL "Toshiko Yuasa" and FKPPL Associated International Laboratories, in close collaboration with several Asian, European and American partners. This workshop is mainly dedicated to Goal 2 (stabilise the beam spot at the interaction point with a 1-2 nm precision using feedback), especially preparations for new hardware to be installed in spring 2013. Recent activity, progress and short/medium term planning towards Goal 1 (establish and maintain a 37 nm vertical beam size at the interaction point) will also be discussed, as a follow-up of the 15th ATF2 project meeting at KEK, in January 2013, as well as further plans under consideration and study for the future evolution of the project.
