Discussions on test beam
- Christophe reported a plan for combined test beam of SDHCAL + SiWECAL
at CERN SPS Nov-Dec 2016.
Plan is to send a common acq_start and acq_stop using a dedicated
signal processing using either NIM logic or modified CCC.
Busy should be properly treated.
- Possibility to add some layers of Scintillator (probably ECAL).
Availability of engineers from DESY is essential.
AHCAL plan at DESY is not finalized; TB at SLAC in 2016 or 17.
Depending power pulsing performance checked at DESY TB in spring 2016.
Discussions on EUDAQ
- SDHCAL prefers two-stage initialization (initialize/configure), but not critical.
EUDAQ developers prefers simpler state machine (idle/configured/running).
Will stay simple now.
- EUDAQ new feature: will have a simple module which can be attached to
subsystem DAQ to communicate with EUDAQ.
- Monitoring: should have close communication between EUDAQ monitoring
(initially for AHCAL) and SDHCAL DQM. Duplicate efforts should be avoided.
Discussions on LCIO
- Keep data structure as near as raw data.
- A LCIO class with raw data stream + some configuration is possible.
- Should contact with F. Gaede / LCIO team
- Output from a DIF should be an LCIO object (esp. in SDHCAL).
Next meeting: somewhere Jan. - Feb.
