Description
Superconducting Radio Frequency (SCRF) is an enabling technology for many future applications including linear and circular colliders, free electron lasers and radioactive isotope facilities.
Recently an initiative has been launched in the USA and Japan with the aim of reducing the cost of SCRF.
In view of the worldwide interest and the limited resources available for R&D on SRF and its associated technologies, it is important to have a clear view of the priorities in each of the laboratories participating in SCRF R&Ds on a timescale of the next 2-3 years.
We would therefore like to invite you to a mini-workshop on the occasion of the Linear Collider Workshop in Morioka, Japan during the week of 5th December 2016.
The Workshop will take place on Tuesday 6th December. The R&D plans to be discussed include plans for SCRF cavity design, processing and production, tuner and coupler design fabrication, and the design and development of high-efficiency klystrons and Marx modulators.
Workshop Organizer / Convener: L. Evans / A, Yamamoto
