92nd Optimization meeting

America/Los_Angeles

News:
Andy: a new internal Japanese committee has been formed to produce an ILC staging report, expected around March.
Tom Markiewicz will be the new SiD representative on the TCMB (Technical Change Control Management Board).  Recently it hasn't been meeting very regularly.
Bruce updated us on the Americas workshop: a straw schedule has now been proposed to the committee.  Registration is not yet open but we are encouraged to book SLAC accommodation.

Round table:
SCIPP: Jane is ready to overlay different background processes (e.g. 2-photon, Bhabha) and attached a slide with rates.  She was looking for a mechanism to do this.  After the meeting Philipp pointed to the Marlin processor OverlayTiming (https://cds.cern.ch/record/1443537?ln=en) and also the DBD twiki, which might help with some of the other settings:https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/CLIC/SiDReconstructionExamples#ILC_DBD_Production

Amanda is working on understanding the correction in the ECAL overlap region.  Currently 30% of the detector is part of the overlap region.  She is considering doing some studies that vary the angle of the trapezoid.

Ross has some problems with inner hits on tracks not working - to be followed up.

Anne is re-producing the stdhep files discussed last week that had the wrong units, and working with RHUL people on beam studies for ATF.
