Minutes of the 166th SiD Optimization Meeting:

  • Sakshi presented SiD AHCAL (Scintillator/SiPM/Steel) resolution studies, done after Andre's suggested fix (PDF attached)
  • Joey reported looking at hadrons now, and will present his studies at the next optimisation meeting
  • Round the table:
    • Amanda at CERN, reporting CERN directorate's preference for FCC; even though Europeans partners seem to prefer ILC
    • Chris got CPU time PNL for SiD Simulation Production; ran test production; will proceed with reconstruction (1-1 ½ months); samples now at U.Oregon available upon request
    • Dan reported working on low P_t muon PID for CLIC building on previous studies by Strahinja; open to suggestions from SiD
  • Next meeting set for April 10th  (Dan might not be able to join)
