Here again are some notes from the meeting, sketchy and by no means complete, just listing some of the issues raised through questions and discussion after each presentation. Daniel Heuchel - PandoraPFA on AHCAL 2018 Data Studies - Update --------------------------------------------------------------- ??: (9) 2-particle performance looks better that 1-particle's DH: never tuned for 1-particle Pandora expects 2 particles, partly biased FeS: 1-particle performance not well defined in Pandora FrS: growing "confusion", not usual use of the term FeS: "unassigned" would be a better term RP: differences MC-Data more non-linear DH: Pandora 'prefers' more clusters as one of the reasons RP: but often small energies for extra clusters this also affects energy resolution saturation effects in clustering? MC: (10) comment on efficiency and possible cluster sizes FrS: MC has higher tendency not to take cluster .. leading to more 2nd neutral clusters? look at E lineraity to check this (8) multiplicity>2, a hierarchy issue? what about MC, angle hits, energy distributions? is an energy cut needed, same for all beam energies? Roman Poeschl: CALICE and GEANT4 --------------------------------- Using too often the older versions technical difficulties to use the new most recent change to versions 10.3, 10.4, or latest 10.6? GEANT4 Validation Portal should be explored. What is needed? Need info from GEANT4 on how to handle the time info. Shower separation studies to be done. MC: outdated, now interested in v10.6 a real problem, with manpower as show stopper (both for GEANT4 (eg old versions) and CALICE), 10.3: drastic differences data/MC, enery dependences move to 10.6 as fast as and if possible RP: CALICE analyses should urgently consider newer version KK: yes but we follow ILCSoft for all LC data then a serious problem if new version not handled EB: use a wrapper? FeS: need support for ILCSoft RP: address issue in next TB meeting: overview & manpower Vidyo participants (22) ----------------------- Adrian Irles Quiles Anna Rosmanitz Aveen Mahon Corrado Gatto Daniel Heuchel Eldwan Brianne Felix Sefkow Francois Corriveau Frank Richard Simon Gerald Grenier Jerry Blazey Katja Krueger Linghui Liu Lorenz Konrad Emberger Marina Chadeeva Olin Roman Poeschl Sergey Taikanm Suehara Tohru Takeshita Vladimir Bocharnikov Wataru Otani Concluding remarks ------------------ Thanks again to all for lively participation, feedback and general discussions. Todo: 1) consider writing CALICE Notes and papers from your analyses! 2) identify analyses in need of new GEANT4 version 3) prompt EB's for progresses in papers in the pipeline Stay safe. Relax for new start in New Year when we meet again. Best wishes!
