Description

Bi-weekly meeting of the SiD Detector Optimization group. To join this meeting please click here.

Attending: Chris D, Chris P, Dan, Jens Dopke, Jim, Marty, Pieter Keenan (apologies: Andy)

Minutes:

  • Chris P. asked for feedback on the draft Snowmass LoI, "Expected Sensitivity to Invisible Higgs Boson Decays at the ILC with the SiD Detector" (attached). Marty asked if this could be extended to a generic LC; Jim suggested to add a paragraph and reference on this. Further comments to be sent directly to Chris P.  or posted on the mailing list.
  • Discussion on possible content of the ECFA talk next week; Chris P. gave last talk on SiD full simulations about 1y ago at a DESY meeting (will forward material); should add Jim's MAPS studies in addition to the DDSim simulations.
  • Short discussion on the feasibility of adding a PID detector inside SiD as presented in Valentina's talks last year (Chris D. and Marty).

Next meeting: Feb 9, 2022
