Minutes:

  • Chris Potter investigated the beam pipe in the SiD DD4hep models; a beam pipe XML exists, but does not describe the SiD LoI or DBD beam pipe, and was commented out in the master XML all along; Chris has added a new beam pipe description and run simulations with the updated model to study the physics impact
  • Chris' has developed a SiD b-tagging using the LCFIPlus secondary vertex finder, with good results; Chris proposes to use this for future physics studies; this is a first iteration, will rerun with higher statistics; Jens made some useful comments w/r the NN structure and BDT settings.
  • Discussed next option/version of the SiD model, to include the beam pipe and other updates, some long due
