Attendees: Roman Pöschl, Andy White, Frank Gaede, Karsten Buesser, Aidan Robson, Daniel Jeans, Timothy Barklow, Graham Wilson, Mary-Cruz Fouz Iglesias, Jenny List
- Roman presented first proposal of workplan including the estimated work force
- FTE should be rather interpreted as number of persons -> Will change document /workplan to be more precise
- 10 involved persons for one concept is overall still a reasonable estimation
- Karsten pointed out the importance on the actual integration in terms of civil engineering
- team of engineer and physicist -> Coordinate with team at CERN
- It was pointed out that a larger L* gives more freedom for the detector design (e.g. longer tracking system)
- A study may have an interest to exploit the advantages of a larger L* -> however major redesign
- The idea to focus on a study for one concept was for practical purposes overall considered the right way (but the discussion did not close the door to individual studies)
- ILD will most likely launch a study at 25 mrad crossing angle
- SiD will survey what can be done with the existing work force but also under the constraints set by DOE to focus on FCC
- CLICdet at this moment does not consider to launch a study
- The concepts are asked to assess the situation on their possible involvement, feedback should be collected until March 13th,
- in any case we should avoid double work
- The meeting ended with a discussion on how to keep e.g. the \gamma\gamma option on board. Studies on which crossing angle can be tolerated are ongoing
- Since it is still likely that \gamma\gamma will prefer smaller crossing angles one may study this option in more detail, if work force permits
- Would clearly demonstrate clearer the versatility of LCF.
- Karsten pointed out that the infrastructure should be able to cope with multi-TeV e+e- beams
