ATF2 Weekly meeting, 2012.09.14 minutes (draft)
Okugi showed his studies for optics choice. He proposed to use the 10x1 nominal optics because: (1) The nominal optics is like the ILC optics and there is no clear performance difference from other optics. (2) Large betax* reduce effects of multipole errors.
We agreed to use 10x1 optics at first, then try to decrease betax* to the nominal (1x1), may be gradually.
Glen’s e-mail about the possibly new QF1FF was introduced. Field measurement will be done soon. The weight is really about 1100 kg, which may cause problem for the mover.
We may test the mover using a spare mover at KEK, but controllers are broken. Edu will contact people at SLAC for repairing them.
Terunuma briefly report status of IPBSM improvement. No problem.
Philip asked about the IP chamber. We agreed that a dedicated meeting for the chamber is necessary.
