The ILC Technical Design Report was completed in June this year, and the Linear Collider Collaboration (LCC) went into full operation at the same time to lead the international efforts on linear colliders. In Japan, the ILC site evaluation committee selected the Kitakami site in August, and the momentum to realize the ILC has been increasing on many fronts. This workshop will review the status and prospect of detector and physics studies in Japan, and aim at illuminating the way forward.
