At Step 5 (Additional Information) of the submission form, please reply YES to the question 'Are you submitting this manuscript following an invitation to contribute to a "Focus Point" (topical article collection by invitation of guest editors)?'. Then, please select one of the following options:

  • "Focus Point on Future Linear Colliders for High Energy Physics – Part 1: Physics and Software. Guest editors: M. Moreno, A. F. Zarnecki, S. Heinemeyer, F. Cornet-Gomez".
  • "Focus Point on Future Linear Colliders for High Energy Physics – Part 2: Accelerators. Guest Editors: D. Esperante, N. Fuster, A. Latina".
  • "Focus Point on Future Linear Colliders for High Energy Physics – Part 3: Detectors. Guest Editors: A. Irles, C. Vernieri, P. Fernández"

Editors will coordinate the peer-review process. The process will be supervised until final decision by the journal's Editorial Board.

Regarding all scientific issues, please contact the guest editors directly.

Instructions for authors - open-access

Manuscripts should be prepared following the instructions for authors available on the journal's website (https://www.springer.com/journal/13360/submission-guidelines) and must not have been previously published or submitted for publication elsewhere. All manuscripts will be peer reviewed, and acceptance will be based on quality, relevance and originality. A special latex template is available at https://www.springernature.com/gp/authors/campaigns/latex-author-support.

Important: EPJ Plus is a transformative journal offering Open Access (OA) publication via a rapidly growing number of Open Access Agreements and corresponding authors affiliated to institutions participating in these agreements may be eligible to publish OA, the fee being then covered by the institutional partner. Eligibility will be verified when the corresponding author is requested to complete the relevant affiliation information after acceptance of the paper. Corresponding authors not affiliated to institutes with Open Access Agreements have to decide between paying the current Open Access fee or choosing the subscription option without any publication charges. (We are aware that OA publication is a pre-requisite for some contributors, and this requirement could be met through suitable choice of corresponding authors (more than one are possible) and their lead affiliation.)

Otherwise please note that for articles not covered by institutional agreements, the authors can choose to publish OA via payment of an APC, or can select the conventional (subscription) publication route. For these two option, the authors will retain copyright, as you may see checking the details of the publishing agreement.

Independently of your subscription mode: the LCWS--2025 strongly suggest (and the EPJ Plus allows) to make an independent upload to arxiv after publication:
  • Using a different template than the EPJ-Plus
  • Adding this sentence in the "comments" section
    • Contribution to the International Workshop on Future Linear Colliders (LCWS 2025), 20-24 October 2025. Valencia, Spain (C25-10-20.1)

Please, in case of doubt, check with the EPJ Plus Editor of the collection Gastón Garcia
