Coupler RF Kick in Bunch Compressors (Kubo)
Update on Alignement Model for Merlin
Freddy Pitier reported results of Main Linac simulation with the Survey/Alignment model. From this work and Kiyoshi Kubo's report in previous meeting: • Basically, the results are consistent. • LICAS’s set of parameters gives very small emittance growth • Rough tolerances of each error parameter is estimated. We can claim that we have made a “standard” survey/alignment model. "LICAS" Group (for "new" survey technique) gave a set of parameters. But it has not been established as "standard" set. We need help from “conventional” survey/alignment experts. But it may be difficult now, may be next year. Andrea Latina and Kiyoshi Kubo reported simulations including Coupler RF kicks. There is no significant effect in Main Linac for the "old" coupler configuration. Some emittance growth (1 or 4 nm) in Bunch Compressors. Need to look at the "new" configuration.
