Description
This will as special SiD workshop, being the first workshop in Asia. Following the positive endorsement of the ILC Physics Program by the U.S. “P5” Panel, the SiD Detector Consortium is entering its pre-project phase. This phase includes the expansion of SiD to the level needed to address completion of Detector R&D and initial work on a Technical Design Report. To support this expansion of SiD, there will be a series of Workshops to inform colleagues and invite participation in its exciting and challenging Physics and Detector program. This SiD Workshop in Japan is the first one in this series The Workshop will describe the present status of work on SiD, the Consortium and the many opportunities for participation going forward.
