Status of CEPC-ECAL R&D¶
Circular Electron Position Collider (CEPC) is proposed as a Higgs or Z factory. CEPC-ECAL(Electromagnetic calorimeter) is designed based on the Particles Flow Algorithm(PFA) consists of tungsten and scintillator coupling with SiPM as active sensor. A detailed study of the gain with single photon and the saturation curve of SiPM will be presented. To make light yield meet the dynamic range requirements and to improve the uniformity of output light, scintillator modules with different degrees of polishing and various coupling modes with SiPM are studied,. A 20cm x 20cm single layer prototype had been developed and the cosmic-ray test results will be presented.
