Minutes Meeting 17/12/20

Present: R.P., Yuichi, Frank, Seidai, Esteban, Adrian, Sohail, Ryo, Filip, Hitoshi

  •  Seidai: b-mass measurement by 3-jat double ratios
    • Analysis complete, nearly 100% uncertainty on b-mass, main reason is statistical error due to lack of 3-jet events in generator 
    • Expect around a factor of 10 more 3-jet events than currently available  
    • Expect an NLO prediction soon in order to estimate the real precision
    • Thesis of Seidai and ILD Note in preparation
  • Adrian 1: ee->bb correction of angular spectrum from "data"
    • Using the obervables f1, f2 (i.e. LEP Method) and the pq-method for charge correction it is possible to reproduce the angular spectrum with observables available in data (demonstrated for vtz-vtx method).
  • Adrian 2: DQ checks  
    • Some differences between DBD and now in various spectra (QED and QCD radiation, softer quarks, more PFO objects)
    • Big differences in dE/dx, less k/pi separation power in current simulation/reconstruction ( 6 in DBD, 3 now), consistent however with single particle studies
    • Puzzling results for protons, p identified as pi?
  • Yuichi:
    • Further investigation of bias introduced by vtx-vtx method. 
    • Spectra of missing tracks for vertex charge look very different for cos\theta_top < 0 than for cos\theta_top > 0 (softer b for cos\theta_top < 0)
    • Top Angular spectrum collapses at large cos\theta_top
