ワークショップ趣旨 / Workshop Objectives
国際ワークショップLCWS2024は、高エネルギー電子陽電子衝突型線形加速器を用いて、宇宙誕生や物質の起源等の根源的な謎の解明を目指した研究を第一線で行う世界の研究者の交流をはかることを目的としており、日本国内および海外の研究者約300名の参加を見込んでおります。2012年に発見されたヒッグス粒子を大量に生成する「ヒッグス工場」が次期最優先加速器施設であるという国際的なコンセンサスが得られている中、ヒッグス工場としてスタートしその後エネルギーアップグレードを行うことができる「国際リニアコライダー(ILC)」をはじめとして、「CLIC」などの将来計画、円形加速器によるヒッグス工場計画など、関連する加速器や測定器の設計について幅広い意見交換を行います。
The International Workshop on Future Linear Colliders (LCWS2024) aims to promote exchanges among researchers from around the world who are at the forefront of research aimed at elucidating fundamental mysteries such as the birth of the universe and the origin of matter using high-energy electron-positron linear colliders. With the international consensus that the Higgs factory, which produces a large amount of Higgs boson particles discovered in 2012, is the next high-priority accelerator facility, the workshop will include a wide-ranging exchange of views on the design of related accelerators and measuring instruments for linear colliders such as the International Linear Collider (ILC) and the Compact Linear Collider (CLIC), which will start as the Higgs factory and can be upgraded to higher energies, as well as Higgs factory projects with circular colliders.
