Poster session / instruction

A poster session will be held in the late afternoon and evening of July 8th, during the workshop reception.

All posters are eligible for poster awards sponsored by The Advanced Accelerator Association Promoting Science & Technology (AAA). Prizes for the best posters, as judged by the LCWS2024 local organising committee, will be awarded at the final session of the workshop.

Poster abstracts should be submitted via the "Call for Abstracts". Poster authors are encouraged contribute to the workshop proceedings.

Poster presentation instructions

We will prepare poster boards with size of 2.4m (h) x 0.9m (w), on which we expect an A0 poster in portrait or equivalent.

Posters are expected to be printed in your side. If you have .ac.jp mail address (and understand Japanese), you may be able to print the poster in U-Tokyo coop. Details are in

You need to receive (and pay) your poster by yourself. In exceptional cases we will help you to order your poster (still needed to pay by yourself) but we do not guarantee the quality.

Attachment pins will be provided. You need to put your poster by your own.

Posters will be presented at the robby outside the Ito hall (planary vanue). You can put the posters from lunch break to afternoon coffee break of Monday. 

Posters can be removed as early as 7:30pm Monday but it is recommended to keep it displayed until the afternoon coffee break of Tuesday. We request you to remove the posters by end of the coffee break of Tuesday afternoon if you want to keep it. We will collect and dispose of remaining posters after the coffee break unless it is requested to be kept in prior.

The poster session is combined with welcome reception, which is expected to start at 17:30 (after the last plenary of Monday). First 30 minutes are expected to be dedicated to poster session, with only drinks provided. Presenters are requested to stay in front of the poster for most of this period. After 30 minutes from the beginning of poster session (expected to be 6pm), meals are provided and it is not mandatory to stay in front of your poster after this time (but still advised to come to your posters periodically to interact with participants looking posters).

All students presenting posters are eligible for poster awards. Posters as well as interaction with authors are reviewed by selected LOC members. Winners of awards are announced and celebrated at the end of the workshop (Thursday).
Certificate as well as prize are provided there. Winners not presented at the annoncement will be informed later by e-mail.
