Description
HALHF is a proposed linear e+e- collider, which uses the novel acceleration technology of PWFA to create high-energy collisions necessary for a Higgs factory. The highly asymmetric nature of the collisions at HALHF calls for an asymmetric detector to effectively capture the signal while avoiding background. In this work, the traditionally symmetric ILD detector, originally designed for colliders upto 1TeV center-of-mass energy, is modified to enhance forward coverage and mitigate beam-induced backgrounds, such as incoherent pair productions and Compton scattering. We present the impact of these backgrounds on the detector design and compare the performance of Higgs physics analyses at HALHF to other proposed colliders such as ILC.
