Description
While in present experimental determinations of the trilinear Higgs-boson self-coupling often all other coupling modifiers are set to their Standard Model values, it is important to take into account the impact of all coupling modifiers or EFT operators that are not well constrained by the single Higgs production processes. Incorporating the dependence on the relevant other coupling modifiers, the prospects for determining the trilinear Higgs-boson self-coupling at the HL-LHC, an e+e- Linear Collider with a c.m. energy of at least 550 GeV and a photon-photon collider with a c.m. energy of 270 GeV or 380 GeV are compared with each other. The results differ significantly from the case where only the modifier of the trilinear Higgs-boson self-coupling is allowed to float. The implications for the physics capabilities of the different colliders are discussed.
