Oral presentation (onsite) Higgs and Electroweak Joint: Higgs/EW and Global Analysis

Speaker

Description

We perform optimal-observable-based fits to assess the statistical reach of future $e^+e^-$-colliders for determining anomalous triple gauge couplings (aTGC) at the detector level.
Precise constraints on aTGCs are vital inputs to global SMEFT fits, yet current projections either come from theory-only studies or do not use the full event information.
We fill this gap with an analysis based on a full Geant4 simulation of the ILD detector concept, considering all relevant Standard Model processes, and making optimal use of the full event kinematics.
Our study includes a comparison of various beam-polarisation scenarios and tests the simultaneous determination of systematic uncertainties and additional model parameters.
