Description
A Linear Collider Facility (LCF) at CERN has been proposed as a Higgs, electroweak and top factory based on the superconducting RF technology developed for the ILC, covering centre-of-mass energies from 90 to 380 GeV. We present a new design of the beam delivery system providing two interaction points. A key element is a shortened, high-performance final focus based on local chromaticity correction, which delivers the required demagnification and chromatic bandwidth over the full energy range in a substantially reduced length. We discuss the resulting layout options for the LCF at CERN, and report a performance analysis of the complete beam delivery system together with luminosity estimates for each of the foreseen operating energies.
