Description

The Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP), has been conducting R&D on 1.3 GHz SRF technology since 2006, covering cavity fabrication, surface treatment, vertical tests and cryomodule integration. In 2020, the medium-temperature baking (mid-T bake) technology was successfully applied to 1.3 GHz 9-cell superconducting cavities, achieving high-Q performance. In 2023, the world's first mid-T baked high-Q superconducting cryomodule was developed at IHEP. To further advance the development and application of superconducting cavity technology, IHEP has carried out research on high-gradient superconducting cavities and cryomodules in the past two years and achieved some progress. This report briefly reviews the development of 1.3 GHz superconducting cavity technology at IHEP, with the main focus on the recent research progress of high-gradient superconducting cavity and cryomodule.
