Americas Workshop on Linear Colliders 2020
Zoom
The Americas Workshop on Linear Colliders 2020 was the latest in a series of regional meetings on accelerators, physics, and detectors for future e+e- colliders. In contrast to previous meetings, however, AWLC 2020 was focused on discussions of the International Linear Collider in Japan. For more details, see the "Goals" page.
The workshop had plenary sessions and parallel sessions. Please see the "Programme" page for the schema and the "Timetable" for the detailed schedule of talks.
All plenary sessions and many of the parallel sessions were recorded. The recordings are available from the "Recordings" tab in the menu. If you missed what was said, or if you would like to review the statements made, please watch these videos.
Since it is 2020, we are sorry not to have been able to welcome you to the beautiful Bay Area. But we hope that, in any event, you found this meeting easy to attend and productive, and that you will find this web site of continuing value.

BDS Design Challenges with Short-Bunch LC Configurations
Ideas are being formulated, worldwide, for electron colliders which require much shorter bunch lengths than previously considered in the accelerator community (<5um rms). These configurations are incompatible with existing BDS designs. I show short-bunch parameters being proposed and discuss challenges posed to the BDS design.
