Towards a MC generator for ttbar production at threshold¶We present a prototype version of a new, fully differential ttbar threshold event generator based on NNLO(NNLL) QCD calculations. We will describe how the generator is structured, the use of an interpolation scheme that is the only practical solution to make it usable in terms of CPU resources, and the use of up to date methods for the inclusion of the ILC luminosity spectrum. Finally we will present preliminary comparisons with existing generators (Pandora) and future plans.Speaker: Filimon Gournaris (UC London)
-
217
Determination of the luminosity spectrum and total c.m. energy¶The main technical difficulties associated with measurement of the top quark threshold are from uncertainties in the luminosity spectrum due to the large beamstrahlung and the determination of absolute beam energy of the two beams. We present the ongoing developments to measure both the beam energy using electron beam diagnostics and the luminosity spectrum using the acollinearity of Bhabha events. Also presented are studies of systematic effects which were believed to cause difficulties with extracting the luminosity spectrum from Bhabha events.Speaker: Dr Stewart Boogert (Royal Holloway, University of London)

Single Top Quarks at a Linear Collider¶Single top quark production is expected to be an interesting process for studies at both hadron and lepton colliders. A review on single top production processes in e+e-, e-gamma and gamma-gamma collision modes at a linear collider is presented. A special attention is paid to the production cross sections, spin correlation properties, some aspects of new physics via single top.Speaker: Prof. Edward Boos (Moscow State University, SINP MSU)
-
273
CP properties of the Higgs boson via ttbar Higgs¶We analyse the associated production of the Higgs boson with a top quar pair,
, in the most general case where the coupling is a mixture of scalar and pseudoscalar components, . We have calculated the individual helicity amplitudes for the process and obtained the corresponding cross sections for each helicity state; we have also constructed the top quark polarization asymmetries with polarized and unpolarized initial beams. The sensitivity of the pseudoscalar component of the coupling to the cross section and polarization asymmetry has been investigated. We find that although neither of these observables is very sensitive to the parameter except for values close to unity, both can clearly distinguish a purely CP--even Higgs state from a purely CP--odd state. Finally, we have constructed an up--down asymmetry for the produced top quark which allows to probe the CP mixing of the Higgs state .Speaker: Prof. Rohini Godbole (IISC Bangalore)

Top anomalous couplings with LCFI Vertexing/b-Tagging Package¶LCFI recently released the ZVTOP vertexing package which also includes the b-tagging capabilities. The talk will review the performance of the package in application to measurements of anomalous couplings of the top quark. Variables which can distiguish between b and bbar (ex vertex charge) will be especially useful to study asymmetries sensitive to the top anomalous couplings.Speaker: Dr Andrei Nomerotski (University of Oxford)

BFKL resummation effects in exclusive production of rho meson pairs at the ILC¶We calculate the Born order cross-section for the exclusive production of rho meson pairs in e+e- scattering in the Regge limit of QCD and we show the feasibility of the measurement of this process at the ILC. We also give a first estimate of the leading order BFKL evolution and we show how this process could be considered as a clean test of the BFKL resummation effects.Speaker: Mathieu Segond (LPT Orsay)
